Raindrops
by Kirsten Giles
Miniature oceans,
or sacks of worried sky.
The beads of sweat
from a lighting bolt.
I sit on my porch
surrounded
by the shimmering curtain
of rain.
I see liquid parachutes
for cloud children,
escape pods
for angels.
I watch the drops as they scatter,
like tiny mirrors
sent
to show the world its reflection.
